ScotPayments processes payments made by the Scottish Government and Scottish public sector organisations to the public.
We are currently in our private beta phase of delivery and are inviting public services in Scotland to join us.
Our aim is to build a common payments platform that is secure, centralised and will support the digital transformation of public services in Scotland. We will grow and develop ScotPayments based on what the future needs of public sector organisations may bring.
You can use ScotPayments now to:
- make Bacs payments
- set up role-based controls for staff
- see the status of your payments (when payments have been returned or when recipients’ bank details have changed)
- benefit from our Security Operations Centre that monitors the service for cybercrime and fraud - this means that any payments you send or receive through ScotPayments are secure
- make sure you’re paying the right person or organisation with Confirmation of Payee
ScotPayments is part of the common national platforms agenda providing shared services to public bodies across Scotland. The common national platforms agenda is a ministerial commitment and strategic priority in the Digital Strategy and Programme for Government 2023-2024.
