Change payment dates

You can change a payment date once a payment file is in ScotPayments. This means you can upload a file with an incorrect payment date and change it to the right one before approval.  

You cannot do this after the payment is approved in ScotPayments. After a payment is approved, it's sent to the Bacs network. Once you've sent a payment to the Bacs network, you'll need to call your bank to stop the payment. 

For individual payments, this is called recalling. For payment batches, this is called extracting.
